- After years of working “within the system”, the frustration level
of the principals at Charitable Solutions, LLC finally hit the
tipping point in mid-2008. As a result, we began to offer our
CGA investment management solutions as an alternative to
the standard, one-size-fits-all philosophy typically employed
today when managing life-income assets - particularly CGAs.
CGA Investment Solutions (CGAIS) was established to do one
thing - provide an investment solution that manages charitable
gift annuities as the depleting assets they are and not like the
perpetual endowments they certainly are not. Our guiding
principle in managing these funds is simple - KNOW YOUR

ACCORDINGLY.
Our bottom-up approach is based on the CGA pools’ known
cash flows, known liabilities and the charities’ ability to tolerate
a quantifiable downside. Our investment philosophy does not
revolve around the world’s equity markets rescuing underwater
CGA pools. It’s based on known characteristics of each pool
and solving for the asset allocation equation accordingly.
